Impressive ancient Mesopotamian depiction in a Modern Bronze art sculpture Sumerian God Snake & Chalice intertwined Serpent created in Bronze-mounted on Wood block. circa 1940s Art Deco period.
The bronze has a green patina.
Unsigned no markings from the maker.
The sculpture has two sections: the upper torso is connected at waist by a metric screw.
Beautiful unrestored patina gives great character.
Overall dimensions:
19 1/4" tall x 7" depth x 8 1/2" wide. The bronze sculpture is 11" H x 5 1/2" W x 2 1/2" D.
