For your consideration, a Herman Miller Eames Elliptical Table (ETR) with a white laminate top and wire base, often called the “surfboard table”.
The table was introduced in 1951. The design is known for its dramatic low profile and expansive arc, which pairs well with long sofas.
The tabletop consists of a seven-ply Baltic birch core sandwiched between high-pressure white or black laminate. The edge is typically beveled to emphasize the plywood layers.
It features a signature Eames wire-rod base, made from bent steel wire welded together. The rods chrome plating has signs of patina and oxidation.
New finish recommended.
