Description

For your consideration, iconic sculptural bookends are commonly referred to as “Clamshell”, “Teardrop”, or “Onion” pieces. They were manufactured in the United States designed by Ben Seibe for Jenfred Ware (often distributed by Raymor). Made from hefty brass-plated metal or solid brass, they are highly sought-after collectible decor items that blend function with sculptural art. Heavy brass with a characteristic grooved, ribbed pattern, clam shell shape. USA circa the 1960s.
