For your consideration, an antique 19th-century leather fire bucket, traditionally used in bucket brigades before the advent of municipal water systems and motorized fire engines. Similar to Ar deco period Hermes Jean Drupre Lafon. No markings present from the maker.

Crafted from heavy, stitched leather treated to hold water, featuring a rigid cylindrical body, a reinforced rim, and a sturdy strap handle.

Citizens and homeowners kept leather fire buckets on hand to pass down a line from a water source to put out early-stage fires.

Often lined or painted distinctively—such as the reddish-orange interior shown here—to protect the leather and aid visibility.

It can be used as a catch all, umbrella or cane holder. Great decorative item. Hard to find.
