Description
For your consideration, an Art Nouveau majolica ceramic planter (also referred to as a cachepot or jardinière).
It reflects the early 20th-century Art Nouveau (or Jugendstil) movement, featuring organic curves and stylized geometric line work.
The sides are flanked by prominent, sculptural three-dimensional figures of ducks or waterbirds.
It uses a vibrant, multi-colored majolica thick slip glaze technique with a stippled yellow-ochre body, highlighted by blue and green accents.
