Description

For your consideration, the iconic Eames Executive Chair, also widely known as the Time-Life Lobby Chair. It was designed in 1960 by the famous husband-and-wife design team, Charles and Ray Eames.
The designers originally created this plush chair for the executive lobbies of the Time-Life Building in New York City.
They wanted to blend the ultimate comfort of their famous Eames Lounge Chair with a smaller footprint. This allowed the new design to fit perfectly behind an office desk or inside a conference room.
The chair gained massive popularity after chess grandmaster Bobby Fischer insisted on sitting in one during his legendary 1972 World Chess Championship match.
