For your consideration, vintage set of four (4) Drexel dining chairs. Showcases a blend of Mid-Century Modern utility with traditional Asian furniture influences. The piece features a distinct curved open backrest, a central solid wood splat, a padded black seat cushion, and supportive perimeter stretchers connecting the legs.
Vintage American manufacturers like Drexel commonly integrated global historic motifs into mid-century furniture lines, heavily drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese yoke-back chairs and Chinoiserie design styles.
Visual Characteristics, a splat back. A single thick wooden panel extends vertically up the center of the seat back.
The sculpted top rail. The top frame gently curves down to flow smoothly into the back posts.
Tapered round legs with brass sabots on the front. Clean, round (front legs) and squared legs feature metal glides at the feet to protect floors.
Functional stretchers, side and front support bars reinforce structural stability. Stamped Drexel, (before Heritage-Drexel). Made int he USA circa the 1950s.

Original vintage restored condition. Expect signs of vintage wear. Brass has vintage patina. New faux leather black upholstery in satin finish. Mahogany wood has been restored with dark walnut stains and satin lacquer finish.
Overall, good condition. Firm and sturdy.
