For your consideration, a pair of vintage Mexican hand-tooled leather tripod folding stools. One red and one green.
Traditionally crafted in Mexico, dating back to around the 1960s or 1970s.
Each three-legged stool features thick, embossed leather detailing. The leather is decorated with woven contrasting borders and centers that frequently depict cultural iconography like the Aztec Calendar or pyramids.
Heavyweight cowhide leather paired with sturdy wood or bamboo legs pinned together with hardware, allowing them to twist and collapse flat for travel.
Commonly designed as highly portable camp, cowboy, or picnic seating
