Description
For your consideration, a pair of vintage Bernard Parallel Jaw Pliers (specifically Model No. 102), originally manufactured by the Wm. Schollhorn Company in New Haven, Connecticut.
Unlike regular pliers that close like a pair of scissors at an angle, these jaws stay completely parallel to each other as they close. This gives them a powerful, vice-like grip that will not slip off flat or square objects.
The tool uses a special multi-pivot joint system. This design multiplies the squeezing pressure from your hand, making it much easier to hold things tightly.
Integrated Side Cutters. The curved metal piece on the outside of the head serves as an open-throat wire cutter. Great decorative industrial decor.
