For your consideration, a vintage Chinese reverse-painted (inside-painted) glass scent or snuff bottle. Artisans use specialized, angled brushes to meticulously paint the inside walls of the glass in reverse.

The front panel displays a bird resting on a branch, a lotus flower, calligraphy, and traditional red chop seals.

 Inside-painted bottles emerged in China in the late 1800s and are generally used for collecting or as decorative objects rather than for traditional powdered tobacco storage
