Carpenters use this tool to scribe or mark straight lines parallel to the edge of a piece of wood.
It includes a sliding wooden head and a wooden thumb screw to lock the measurement in place.
The wooden stem acts as a ruler marked up to 6 inches with 1/16-inch increments.
Built from solid hardwood, typically beech.
