Description

For your consideration, a vintage Stillson-pattern adjustable pipe wrench featuring a classic wooden handle grip.

This tool utilizes the famous Stillson design, which was invented and patented by Daniel Chapman Stillson in the late 19th century. It relies on a hardened steel jaw assembly that naturally binds and grips tightly onto round metal pipes when pressure is applied to the handle.

It includes a distinct threaded jaw bar, a knurled steel adjustment thumbwheel nut, and a contoured wood handle grip held securely by a metal ferrule.

Many historic tool companies produced this exact design throughout the early-to-mid 20th century, including Walworth, Pexto, Oswego, and Stanley.
