For your consideration, a vintage Estwing E30 Rock Pick Hammer, also commonly referred to by geologists as a geologist’s pick or rock hammer.
One-Piece Forged Steel. The head and the shank are forged together from a single piece of high-grade tool steel, which prevents the head from breaking loose during heavy striking.
Features a sharp, tapered pick on one end used for prying, digging into rock crevices, and splitting open softer layers of stone.
Square striking face. The opposite side of the head has a flat, square face optimized for striking rocks, chisels, or punches.
Stacked leather grip.The handle is built using classic stacked leather washers that are pressed onto the steel tang, sanded smooth, and sealed with a protective lacquer varnish.
This distinctive brown-and-gold banded aesthetic provides excellent vibration dampening and a comfortable grip
